Celebrating Christmas at JenniDezigns
Getting into the Christmas spirit here at JenniDezigns is always a sweet time. It means we get together as a whole family. We (me -Sam and my family) escape the London cold and grey skies to spend much loved, quality time with the other half of our family in South Africa, Mom (Jenny) and Dad and my sister and her family. My kids have started advent calendars early this year, rather counting down the 24 days till we see our family!
In preparing for this time the usual question of presents comes into the mix. In our family we have taken to buying the children gifts and doing secret santa for the adults, an attempt to keep the present budget under control. This year, given the crazy cost of flights we have decided our visit is our present. This is a tough one for me, as gift giving is one of my favourite love languages.
But this decision has freed me up to focus on the special time ahead which also includes the 15th birthday of my twin nieces… and the cake I’ve been asked to bake – no pressure!
Back to JenniDezigns…
In preparing the sales campaign for the Christmas season, I have been challenged and inspired by a recent blog post entitled Almost Ditch Black Friday, #ShopEthicalInstead.
JenniDezigns values making clothes that are Proudly South African. To make this sustainable we aim to charge fair value for our clothes. So instead of trying to offer a crazy black Friday deal we opted for a #DressedForAMess competition to give our customers the chance to win 1 of 5 festive dresses. A bit of give and take!
We are truly grateful to all our customers – big and small – for helping us make the JenniDezigns dream a reality.
We are excited about 2018 and our prayer for you all is a blessed Christmas and new year filled with special moments of delight!
P.S Moms with boys, the wait will soon be over – Jenny has been busy (sneak peak below) so keep an eye out for JenniDezigns Boys coming online in 2018!
